I am reaching out to inquire details regarding Civil Marriage in Germany.  As a couple, my fiancé and I have a profile that requires some detailed elaboration that we are unable to find exact information.

In brief, my fiancé is a permanent German Resident who has lived in Berlin since 2010, and works in Scientific Academic Research in Immunology. He is a Canadian Passport holder, and a Lebanese National. I am a Lebanese Citizen and a Lebanese Passport holder currently with a 3-year Schengen multiple entry visa (90/180 rule).

We are now planning to get both civilly and religiously married by year end. We are struggling a bit despite our extensive online research to understand all the necessary foreign documents and steps needed to go about it.

Verbindliche Auskünfte erhält man nur bei dem Standes des Landes/Ortes, wo die Eheschließung stattfinden soll.

You can get binding information from the registry office in the country/place where the marriage is to take place.
