Hi I am a Srilankan got married to my Hungarian girlfriend who lives in germany.After applying for family reunion visa from srilanka I have successfully got 3 months D Visa from Germany embassy. I reached Germany by October and me and my wife got registered in the krefeld stadt register office and went to Ausländerbehörde to take termin, but they asked us to book termin through online. So I did booking on 20th of November and I got a automated acknowledged mail stating that your termin date is in process we will get back to you soon.but till date there is no reply. So I went directly to the office and enquired about the delay.For that, the office staff told me that it will take 2 to 3 months to get termin because the Ausländerbehörde is too busy.I asked them nervously but my visa will get expired by 5 of January so what can I do.they said you have to wait even visa is over.  :-[

Now my ultimate question is when will I get my termin date and if I didn't get my termin before my visa expires what I have to do? Can I stay even after my visa get over as that staff said in Ausländerbehörde(but she didn't said officially)?

I am so nervous and depressed.kindly please help me out from this situation with any of your professional or self experience advise.

No.nothing is been mention like that.

The question is, if you are family member of EU citizen. Strange... usually they write on the Visa „Familienangehöriger eines Unionsbürgers/EWR-Bürgers“ according to 2.4.2.1 AVV zum FreizügG/EU.

Did you need to prove A1 Language Levels for the family reunification? If not, you were processed by FreizügG/EU-law, which is freedom of movement of an union citizen. This would mean, that the date on the Visa is not important. Even after the visa would get "invalid" your stay is still valid.

If your wife does not apply on freedom of movement, then the Visa date is important. And you should just write a simple letter, that you apply for an Aufenthaltserlaubnis.

Yes it is mentioned in my passport as you said in remark section as : "Familienangehöriger"
And embassy didn't ask for A1 certificate because my wife is an European.

You two already enjoy that freedom and will continue to regardless of whether you write an application or not.
What you want is a card, that certifies your status: Aufenthaltskarte
But it realy isn't critical that you get it by some deadline unless you need it for travel or an employer wants to see it.
